During Advent, the Annunciation is a powerful mystery to ponder as it reveals Mary’s interior life. The movement of Mary’s heart from fear, to wonder, to questioning and then to total surrender is the path we are called to follow in our lives. Every time I hear Mary’s response to Gabriel’s announcement and explanation, I am awed: “I am the handmaid of the Lord. Monday 7 AM – 7 PM, Wednesday 7 AM – 7 PM and Friday 7 AM – 4 PM.
There will be NO Eucharistic Adoration
December 25th – January 1st.

Many thanks to all who have answered the call to spend an hour each week with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration. Adorers are always needed, but especially Wednesday at 12 PM. If you can sign up for a Holy Hour, please contact Paula Warnalis 215-715-6911.
Scrip Tuition Fundraising Program
Scrip is a no-cost way to earn money for Catholic school tuition. This includes grade school, high school, and religious education programs. EVERYONE can participate. Even if you’re not a school parent, you can help family members or friends with tuition, or just support parish tuition assistance. Click HERE to find complete information.
On Fridays, scrip is sold at the rectory from 2:30-3 PM, as well as through the Queen of Angels students’ backpacks. Scrip will be sold on Sunday 1/3, 1/10, and 1/24 from 10-11 AM in Fr. Curran Hall, at the counter by the kitchen area. Special orders are due by 11 AM on 1/10.

The Green Phase
As of June 26, 2020, the five-county area of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia moved into the green phase of the reopening of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The green phase continues to require precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19 and our corporate responsibility to observe them.
The liturgical directives that follow are for the Pennsylvania green phase and our Archdiocesan Open Phase for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. They were authorized by the Archbishop to go into effect on Friday morning, June 26, 2020.
We can be certain that there will be challenges as we reunite and celebrate Mass together. I ask that we be patient with one another, we all desire one thing – to celebrate the Eucharist together in our church! It will take some adjusting and some refining of details, but let us keep our focus on the Lord, who calls us to gather as His people.
I eagerly await the day we gather together in our church. In the meantime, let us continue to pray for one another.

Caring For Friends is asking for anyone who can share an extra meal. There are aluminum meal tray kits downstairs next to the freezers and a few in back of the church. Homemade soups are also accepted. Thank you on behalf of those in need.

We have enjoyed being able to welcome our students in-person each day during these unprecedented times. It's hard to believe, but it is time to start planning for the 2021-2022 school year!
Queen of Angels School provides children with a quality Catholic education that includes Religion every day in addition to all the major academic subjects enhanced with art, computers, gym, library, music, and Spanish for all grades. For qualified students in grades 5-8, we offer an honors math class. Students in kindergarten through grade two consistently utilize iPads and Chromebooks to enhance their learning.
