+Dear St. David Parishioners, we have just commemorated the most holy days of the Church year – the Sacred Triduum. What do these days teach us? Holy Thursday – On the night before He died, Jesus gave us a living memorial, the gift of His Body and Blood in the Eucharist. On this most holy night, Jesus also instituted the priesthood. Jesus’ love is so great that He gifts us with Himself in Holy Communion every day. Let us pray that people will join as a community in the Mass each week and also pray for an increase of vocations to the priesthood. Click HERE to continue Sr. Mary's reflection.

St. David will be participating in a parish survey about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute called the Disciple Maker Index. Please help us by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online. The survey can be accessed through an online link from April 16 to May 17, 2021 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as whole. We will share the link with you a bit closer to the launch of the survey.
We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Fr. Windle and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. Please see the DMI Parish Handout for more information.

Finance Update
Thank you to all parishioners who continue to support St. David Parish’s financial needs. We appreciate your ongoing giving to the parish and the participation in special fundraisers, all that helps pay the ongoing monthly expenses and fund capital projects to keep the parish up to date.
Parish Collections:
Fiscal year-to-date March 2021 — $499,864
Fiscal year-to-date March 2020 — $507,877
Our collections are down about 2% versus last year at this time but our Operating Expenses are up $39,166 due to snow removal / damages and building maintenance expenses. Please try to continue to support the parish.
Divine Mercy Sunday Holy Hour and Chaplet
Join St. David’s Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy for a special celebration on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11th. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration at 2 PM and we will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. We will close with Benediction at 3 PM. We invite all our parishioners to join us in prayer for the Divine Mercy of Our Lord.
American Red Cross Blood Drive

There continues to be a critical need for people to donate blood and YOU can make a difference with your single donation that can add days, weeks or even years to the lives of up to THREE people. Scrip Tuition Fundraising Program
Scrip is a no-cost way to earn money for Catholic school tuition. This includes grade school, high school, and religious education programs. EVERYONE can participate. Even if you’re not a school parent, you can help family members or friends with tuition, or just support parish tuition assistance. Click HERE to find complete information.
On Fridays, scrip is sold at the rectory from 2:30-3 PM, as well as through the Queen of Angels students’ backpacks. Scrip will be sold on Sunday 4/11 & 4/25 from 10-11 AM in Fr. Curran Hall, at the counter by the kitchen area. Special orders are due to the coordinators by 11 AM on 4/11. Script will not be sold on Good Friday, 4/2.

We still have many masses available for intentions this year. Daily Mass in the summer will be said at 8 AM, beginning June 7th and ending August 31st. We are no longer taking requests for intentions for the Saturday Vigil, Sunday, Christmas, and Easter. Masses can be requested by phone or in-person. God bless.

The Green Phase
As of June 26, 2020, the five-county area of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia moved into the green phase of the reopening of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The green phase continues to require precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19 and our corporate responsibility to observe them.
The liturgical directives that follow are for the Pennsylvania green phase and our Archdiocesan Open Phase for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. They were authorized by the Archbishop to go into effect on Friday morning, June 26, 2020.
We can be certain that there will be challenges as we reunite and celebrate Mass together. I ask that we be patient with one another, we all desire one thing – to celebrate the Eucharist together in our church! It will take some adjusting and some refining of details, but let us keep our focus on the Lord, who calls us to gather as His people.
I eagerly await the day we gather together in our church. In the meantime, let us continue to pray for one another.
