Every spring my wife and I buy flowers for our yard. We try and pick the prettiest and spread them throughout our flower beds. It can be hard work and the flowers seem so delicate as we are planting them. I worry every year how they will bloom. I water and feed them and tend to them by removing any leaves or petals that may have died so the flowers do not have the extra burden. They can grow to be quite beautiful, and I am surprised every year, but it is through the hard work by my wife and I that they look as good as they do.

We will pray the
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
after every mass.
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Creating communities of disciples, leaders, and missionaries for today and tomorrow.
What do YOU want the future of St. David to look like?
There are THREE WEEKS left to complete the Disciple Maker Index, a parish survey about discipleship. We want to hear from you, our parishioners, on what you think makes St. David unique and what we can improve to grow closer to God as a community.
Please help us by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online as soon as possible.
There are also opportunities to complete the survey after daily and Sunday Mass and you can obtain a paper copy next to the offertory baskets or by contacting Maureen Mahon at 215-657-0252.
All paper copy surveys can be returned to the offertory baskets or the rectory.
The survey will
be available from
April 16th through May 17th, 2021
and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as whole.
We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Fr. Windle and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish.
Thank you for helping with this important project!

The Green Phase
As of June 26, 2020, the five-county area of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia moved into the green phase of the reopening of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The green phase continues to require precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19 and our corporate responsibility to observe them.
The liturgical directives that follow are for the Pennsylvania green phase and our Archdiocesan Open Phase for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. They were authorized by the Archbishop to go into effect on Friday morning, June 26, 2020.

We can be certain that there will be challenges as we reunite and celebrate Mass together. I ask that we be patient with one another, we all desire one thing – to celebrate the Eucharist together in our church! It will take some adjusting and some refining of details, but let us keep our focus on the Lord, who calls us to gather as His people.

I eagerly await the day we gather together in our church. In the meantime, let us continue to pray for one another.
God Bless You,
