Today we begin Discover Catholic Schools Week at 9 a.m. Mass with our Saint David Parishioners. How appropriate that we begin this week with the Eucharistic Liturgy because this is the foundation of Catholic Schools. Jesus is our Center and the Blessed Mother is our model. In most Catholic schools, you will find a plaque that reads: Let it be known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for this school, the unseen, but ever-present Teacher in its classes, the Model of its faculty, the Inspiration of its students... We know. It seems like ages ago, right? The good news is that we are excited to soon share with all of you the results of the Disciple Maker Index that came from that survey process. An Envisioning Team made up of twelve of your fellow parishioners have been working together these past few months to evaluate the data & look for new opportunities for parish growth based on those survey results. As our Envisioning Team continues to work together for the benefit of our parish, look for regular updates in the bulletin and a soon-to-be webpage where you will be able to find more in-depth information and keep up to date on the exciting new opportunities to come for the parish community.
During the season of Advent, St. David will welcome Immaculée Ilibagiza to share her beautiful and powerful story about how she survived the Rwandan genocide that occurred only a few decades ago. Scrip Tuition Fundraising Program
Scrip is a no-cost way to earn money for Catholic school tuition. This includes grade school, high school, and religious education programs. EVERYONE can participate. Even if you’re not a school parent, you can help family members or friends with tuition, or just support parish tuition assistance. Click HERE to find complete information.
Scrip will be sold on 11/14 and 11/21 from 10-11 AM in Father Curran Hall. Special orders are due to the coordinator by 11am on 11/14. On Fridays, scrip is sold through the QoA students' backpacks.

This is the last weekend for our clothing fundraiser! We are selling kids and adult short and long sleeve T-shirts and zippered hoodies. We also have adult-only PJ bottoms. We will be selling the clothes outside Father Curran Hall before and after the masses. Please stop by or fill out an order form. Purchases may be made with cash or check only. Due to the Coronavirus, the Interfaith Food Cupboard is asking for Giant supermarket gift cards in $10 and $20 denominations, so that their clients can buy the type of food they need. Consider purchasing these gift cards through St. David Scrip Program! Envelopes for the gift cards are located in the church vestibule and on the shelf in the handicapped entrance to the church. Please place them in the collection basket. Donations can also be made through the parish e-giving program. Thank you, and may God bless you for your continued charity to the poor and needy in the parish area.
Leaf Raking Service Project
Saturday December 4th
Help rake the leaves to the curb for the seniors, homebound, and sick in our community. All are invited to participate including CYO, EPIC, Faith Alive and QoA families. RSVP to volunteer. Mrs. Behan worked with two groups of students to prepare them to compete in their first online Quiz Bowl tournament ("Texas Lone Star Tip Off") hosted by the Texas Quiz Bowl Alliance. Students used an online buzzer system and Zoom to compete against students, mainly from Texas. After 6 rounds, both teams made it to the playoffs in their divisions. As an individual, 8th grader Declan Kelly scored in approximately the top 5%. Nearly 400 students competed.
