I hope everyone is enjoying these cool, crisp, and colorful days of autumn. In today’s entrance antiphon, we read, “Guard me as the apple of Your eye.” How apropos for those autumn apple pickers. And how endearing that each of us is the apple of God’s eye. He loves and cherishes each of us as His own beloved child.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. The Implementation Team had the opportunity to connect last month with Dan Cellucci, our new facilitator and the CEO of Catholic Leadership Institute. He will be working closely with us in the coming years as our advisor. Updates were provided across all of the priorities: Faith Formation, Outreach, and Stewardship. The priority leaders gained valuable inputs from collaborative discussions with those present and also identified opportunities to leverage knowledge from other parish experiences, shared by Dan. The team is feeling energized and excited to start putting some of the plans in motion.

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord!
We are looking for Cantors to lead the congregation during weekend Masses. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable singing in front of people and be familiar with hymns and Mass settings. You do not need to know how to read music.
Choir rehearsals are held every Wednesday from 7:30pm-9pm in the choir loft. You do not need to know how to read music but you do need to be able to sing on pitch. Any age is welcome!

Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit

The “Real Presence in the Eucharist” exhibit, created by Blessed Carlo Acutis, consists of over 100 panels presenting the principal Eucharistic Miracles that have taken place over the centuries in various countries of the world and which have been recognized by the Church.

The Family Promise Food Cupboard in Roslyn is again asking for $10 and $20 Giant gift cards for Thanksgiving so that their clients can buy the type of food they need. Consider purchasing these cards through the St. David Scrip Program - Queen of Angels School will also benefit! Envelopes for the gift cards are at all 3 entrances of the church. Our PreK program needs substitute aides! If you have all your clearances (or are willing to get them), we would love to add you to our substitute list. Classroom experience preferred but not required! Full and part time substitute opportunities may arise during the school year.
